Infosys recognized MIT for its outstanding performance
India’s IT giant “Infosys” has recognized MIT’s two faculty members: B N Kshirsagar and B S Sonawane for their outstanding contribution to Infosys Campus Connect. The senior management of Infosys issued the Certificate of Recognition.
MIT and Infosys signed up MoU for Campus Connect program in 2008. Campus Connect is Infosys’ initiative to help increase India’s competitiveness in the knowledge economy. Campus Connect aims at evolving a model through which Infosys and engineering institutions can partner for competitiveness, enhance the pool of highly capable talent for growth requirements in Information Technology (IT) space.
It is aimed at creating an effective means of backward integration into the supply chain by going into the college campuses from where the IT industry gets the people for its growth.
Till date, MIT and Infosys together trained 500 students in IT Foundation Program, 100 students in soft-skills and 150 students in Mainframe Technology. All these students are working in leading IT MNCs.
In year 2009 MIT played key role in introducing the two Industry Electives – proposed by Infosys Campus Connect Team - into engineering syllabus of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, thereby ranking varsity 2nd in India for imparting training in Industry Elective – Mainframe Technology.
Recently, MIT hosted the Infosys deep dive faculty enablement program ( DDFEP ) which was participated by almost all engineering colleges affiliated to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad.
