“Towards Innovative Solar Energy: 5 KW electrical power from solar radiations by Photovoltaic ( PV ) method”
MIT – A group of academic & research institutions – commissioned the Photovoltaics ( PV ) project to generate 5000 watts of electrical power from the solar radiations.
Driven by advances in technology and increases in manufacturing scale and sophistication, the cost of photovoltaics has declined steadily since the first solar cells were manufactured. To provide the exposure of the world’s leading technology in Energy sector and to advance in clean-energy direction, MIT initiated this energy project. The electricity generated from PV panels is fed into MIT’s grid. The working principle of the electricity generation is shown in fig MIT PV.
