Germany Delegates from MAN Diesel SE Visits MIT Center of Excellence
On 23/06/2011, Annekathrin Kern, Senior Manager, R & D Engineering, MAN Diesel SE, Germany, visited MIT, Aurangabad with Mr. Sandeep Charjar, Project Co-Ordinator, MAN Diesel India Limited and Mr. Kunal Akkar, Team Leader, MAN Diesel India Limited, Aurangabad.
MAN Diesel & Turbo is the world market leader for large diesel engines for use in ships and power stations, and is one of the three leading suppliers of turbo machines. The company employs some 12,500 persons, and is represented in more than 150 countries.
The head office is situated in Augsburg, Germany. MAN Diesel & Turbo is a company within the Power Engineering Business Area of MAN SE, one of the 30 leading German companies quoted in the DAX Share Index.
Team delegates from MAN Diesel also visited Center of Excellence-CAE, and had discussion on various Design projects to be taken at Center of Excellence-CAE at MIT Aurangabad. Team allotted one project on structural design which includes design verification and analysis.
