MIT & Red Hat to train Professors from Engineering / IT Colleges in Open Source Software Technology
MIT , Group of Academic & Research Institutions in India , and Red Hat, the world's leading open source provider , jointly offering the free open source software technology training to professors working in engineering , IT colleges affiliated to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad.
The training includes the hands-on practice in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 ( RHEL 6 ) operating system. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 is designed to be as "future proof" as possible, optimizing the capabilities of today's system hardware from partners such as AMD, Cisco, Dell, Fujitsu, Hitachi, HP, IBM, Intel and NEC, while facilitating the ability to incorporate the capabilities of tomorrow's systems.
One day summit of Principal, Director, Head of IT department from engineering/IT colleges has been scheduled on 7th July 2011 at 11.00 AM in MIT. Mr Shashi Unni, Sr. Global Certification Manager, Red Hat India shall address the summit.
