Year 2006: MIT and Red Hat signed agreement for Red Hat authorized Training and Certifications through “MIT-Red Hat Academy”

Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS)
Overview
Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS) is a security certification that proves advanced skills in using Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SELinux, and Red Hat Directory Server to meet the security requirements of today's enterprise environment.
Current RHCEs will obtain RHCSS certification upon successfully passing all three Expertise Exams:
EX333 Red Hat Enterprise Security: Network Services
EX423 Enterprise Directory Services and Authentication
EX429 SELinux Policy Administration
These courses build on the security skills covered in the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) program, which is a prerequisite.
All upper-level courses are all peer level, meaning each can be taken by someone with RHCE or equivalent skills. Any order is fine.
Curriculum and Expertise Exams
Only current RHCEs are eligible to be certified as a Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS), while anyone can attend the courses in this track.
Current RHCEs will obtain RHCSS certification upon successfully passing all three Expertise Exams.
The courses are not required as the tests can be taken separately but they are strongly recommended.
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA™)
A Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification is earned when an IT professional demonstrates the core system administration skills common to Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments. RHCSA is an appropriate certification for system administrators and professionals in a wide variety of related roles, including database administrators, developers, and support technicians. The new RHCSA credential aligns with the critical skills required of today's system administrators. As with all of Red Hat certification exams, the RHCSA exam continues the practice of evaluating knowledge and skills through hands-on, lab-based exam.To ensure this certification meets the needs of IT managers seeking qualified system administrators, Red Hat conducted an extensive survey and analysis of Red Hat certification holders worldwide. This survey sought to identify the most frequent and critical tasks that today's system administrators perform on the job. This survey helped shape the RHCSA credential, in addition to validating the more senior-level responsibilities that are tested by the RHCE exam. In addition to the survey, Red Hat has continually sought input on the certification program from its certified community through annual RHCE focus group sessions at Red Hat Summit, online focus groups with Red Hat Certified Architects (RHCAs), and informal discussions at RHCE Loopback events. This input has been central to changes made to the overall program in conjunction with the launch of RHCSA.
Earning an RHCSA certification
To earn RHCSA credential, candidates must demonstrate the skills required to be a successful Linux administrator through a hands-on, half-day exam. This exam can be purchased separately (EX200) or bundled with a class at the time of enrollment.
Red Hat Certified Engineer® (RHCE®)
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is earned by a Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) who has demonstrated the knowledge, skill and ability required of senior system administrator responsible for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. Launched in 1999, the RHCE certification is one of the most respected IT certification programs worldwide. Its success and longevity stem from a solid track record of benchmarking the skills of Linux professionals through Red Hat's unique, pioneering approach to hands-on assessment of skills. Professionals holding this certification have continually helped their companies with successful deployments and migrations.
