Linux trainings was provided by the College itself, So I decided to go for RHCE @ MIT....This was one of my best decisions I took in my life for my future Life in IT while doing my B.Tech. I took admission to MIT RedHat Academy and tried very hard for that RHCE. For being a RHCE, I was learning and practicing the Configurations in text based User Interfaces which are mostly recommended for servers for 14 to 16 hours a day. The college gave me permissions for attending the RedHat Sessions, Department was much happy to help for this kind of activities. Knowledge Centre was Open 24*7 for such candidates who wanted to work and practice as well.

Thanks MIT - Pushpendra Chavan , Red Hat

Dear All,

I am very happy that I am the MITian and also thankful to everybody in College for their support. I am now working as an ATS Engineer at RedHat Softwares Services (India) Pvt Ltd, Pune. This was my dream company and now it’s the company in which I work.

When I was in first Year, I was a little bit known of Linux Operating Systems, I was using debian in my Junior College times, but it wasn't user-friendly so I still believed to use Windows. I came to Engineering at MIT and when I was in first Year, I was used to go to Knowledge Centre; there I saw the posters of RedHat and Hierarchy of RedHat Certifications. I was very eager to know about this RedHat because it was written on one of the posters that "RedHat Occupies about 59% of shares in whole Linux Market!!!" I was known about the term Linux so was eager to know about this RedHat too. Then I searched on internet about it. I got so many results which were still out of range of my brains understanding!!! When I entered in Second Year, I really came to know about the competitions in the corporate world. I heard about all the Technologies which were currently in use by these hi-fi guys... Oracle, Java, Microsoft .net Techs, Open Source, Web Techs, Networkings and all these kind of stuffs.

MIT itself provided me better platform for learning Open Source Softwares one of them was RedHat Enterprise Linux. This Operating System really rocks in production environment. You have complete visibility and access to the source code of the applications and OS. The OS and the applications won’t do anything wrong or unexpected if we have better understanding of Source Code. Its features are Security, Reliability, Better Performance, Portability, Transparency and so many... As per some of the International Surveys, 90% of the Web- Servers run on Apache Web services. "RedHat is the biggest Organization supporting to Customers over the Linux Issues and also have best feedbacks, also it is one of the strongest Contributor in Open Source Projects such as fedora." I will like to say to all of the MITians to take part in such open source projects. You are most welcome for joining such communities. It’s not necessary that you have to develop something, but you can see the development environment and learn from that. Such things make your resume stronger. You have to be unique from all, very less persons select Linux as there career so you can have more uniqueness among all. Just want to say be perfect and Study well... We have so many opportunities; we need to win the world. And especially to my RedHat Academy Juniors, don’t think that after doing RHCE, you will simply get a job; we are here struggle and wait for the right time. I have seen so many of us first select Linux as their Career and they loses their patience. For Better Opportunities, you have to wait and identify it. So I hope so many of you will be seen at RedHat after some time. I wish all the best to all of the MITians and the students who are doing their life-time Opportunity Session of RHCE.

With Regards,
