About the Institute

Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Aurangabad, is the first unaided Autonomous engineering Institute in the Marathwada region. The Institute is permanently affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad (BAMU), AICTE approved, NAAC “Grade A” institution offering UG, PG, and Ph.D. level programs in Engineering, Technology and Management. This institute was established in the year 2001. In 2020 UGC has granted an autonomous status to this institute.

The unique feature of UG programs offered by this institute is industrial & institutional training for 20 weeks, which is mandatory in-plant training in the 8th semester. This helps students get better placement, and industry brings students with work experience. The institute offers two unique programs in Agricultural Engineering and Plastics & Polymer Engineering. Both programs provide excellent career and entrepreneurial opportunities. MIT has world-class training facilities for these programs.

  • For Agricultural training, MIT has set up Agricultural Research and Demonstration Centre (ARDC) Project set up with Israeli collaboration and MIT – Center for Analytical Research and Studies (MIT-CARS), a NABL accredited centre for soil, water, fertilizer, food, polymer, and other testing and training.
  • For Plastics & Polymer Engineering MIT has set up MIT – Centre for Advanced Materials Research and Technology (M-CAMRT) MIT – Center for Industry Relevance in Polymer Science and Technology (M-CIP)
